hado's folly

July, 2007

We spent several days up here around July 4th. Mark got a side of the house painted and it looks fabulous. I built a trellis for my honeysuckle plant. We finally got some Adirondack chairs which I'd been wanting for a long time. Mark stained them to match the window trim. The cats did some twilight skulking.

We went to the Margaretville Carnival on July 3rd but it was a big mudbowl because of a couple days of rain. Kind of beat except that we had corndogs for the first time. And they were delightful.

Here I am pulling out some weeds.

I'm building a trellis here. The two vertical sticks are the beginning of it.

A day or so later I'm trying to take advantage of the deluge by bending some branches in the trellis construction.

Trellis is done and now I'm making a little painting of it. Ah, the circle of life!

gardening

This is the inspiration for my trellis. Mildred made this one. The bent wood is really nice.

Bigboy joins Max. Sometimes they go their separate ways, but often they'll prowl loosely together - whichever's feeling bravest in the lead, the other one trailng behind 10 or 15 feet.
