hado's folly

August, 2007

Sheila, Kevin and Greg came up for the weekend and we did many things. It was the big Margaretville flea market weekend so we made a stop there and bought some crap. I think. Can't actually remember as I'm writing this in December. But according to these pictures Kevin bought a cool bunny porcelain.

Then we went to watch the Roxbury Nine play heirloom baseball. The players use very little equipment and have excellent facial hair.

We saw a lot of frogs in the neighbors pond and Sheila spotted a colony of turtles in the mill pond when we took turns in the kayak. I'm always trying to find the turtles when I kayak but they usually elude me.

Kevin found a very nice bunny family.

The pitcher is all angles.

Whiff! The modern Americans in the background are a little jarring.

The catcher's got a real mitt on this team. Harumph! That's so not-vintage.

Here we are in the shade.

Now, that's a baseball player.

I wish the Yankees could have beards like this.

These frogs were just dangling in the water in our neighbor's pond.

Usually they squeak and flee when we visit but I guess it was too hot to be bothered.

We were taking turns in our one kayak. Sheila's out in it spotting turtles. These belong to the Pleasant Pheasant.
